Faultless food and service. Lovely atmosphere.

We have had several people tell us that the Sunday lunch here is excellent. My husband’s allergic to garlic and we have had countless disappointments of him having half his dinner missing. The food and service were fabulous. Couldn’t fault it. We’ll be back.

Afternoon Tea at The Wisteria, Oakham

Afternoon Tea at the Wisteria Hotel, Oakham. Visited the Hotel for an Afternoon Tea on a cold December Afternoon. The building was warm and inviting - beautifully decorated for Christmas. A table was already set out for three in a festive manner. The Food and Beverage Manager couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. The tea itself was delicious and plentiful. We would only say instead of all sponge cakes being served, even though they were delicious, perhaps an eclair or fruit tart would be a lovely addition. The scones and eton type mess desert were lovely. We will definitely be back and could easily recommend The Wisteria for afternoon tea. Praise to the Manager as he was a perfect host.

Birthday Meal

Went for a lunch time meal to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Met by friendly staff who were attentive and friendly. We both chose different starters and mains and have to say each dish was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and freshly cooked. We were full but couldn’t resist a dessert to share, which we are pretty certain the chef made a little bigger than normal Winterberry Crumble just for us., that too was absolutely delicious. The Wisteria Hotel is a hidden gem. We will return, don’t hesitate to go. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

A treat not to be missed

I took my mum for afternoon tea. It was absolutely beautiful. We sat by a cosy fire and were greeted &served by a delightful hostess. The food was fresh plentiful and artistically pleasing to the eye. The thoughtful touch of a decorated plate for mums 87th birthday was fantastic. An experience to repeat.
